Get to Know Tamika
Tamika Burgess is a storyteller with over a decade of novel and personal essay writing.

Born to parents who migrated from Panamá, she is passionate about exploring themes of Black Latina identity in her work. Her stories center Black Panamanian characters, reflecting her commitment to sharing and celebrating her culture through fiction.

Tamika lives in Southern California. When she’s not writing, she can be found somewhere cozy, shopping online, or listening to a podcast.
